HereInUS is exclusively for Indian-Americans who are US Citizens or Green Card holders. We verify residency status during signup.
Is HereInUS free?
Creating a profile and browsing matches is free. Premium features will be available soon.
How does the verification process work?
Every member self-declares their US residency status during registration. We are working on additional verification steps to ensure the integrity of our community.
Can my parents or siblings create a profile on my behalf?
Yes! During signup, you can choose whether the profile is being created by the person themselves, a parent, or a sibling. This is a common and respected practice in our community.
How do I express interest in someone?
Browse profiles through our Discover feed or Search page. When you find someone interesting, click the 'Express Interest' button. They'll be notified and can accept or decline.
What happens when someone accepts my interest?
Once mutual interest is established, you can start messaging each other directly through our built-in messaging system.
Can I deactivate my profile temporarily?
Yes. Go to Profile Edit and scroll to Account Settings. You can deactivate your profile to hide it from search and discovery. Your account and messages remain intact, and you can reactivate anytime.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile Edit > Account Settings > Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, profile, photos, messages, and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.
Is my data secure?
We take privacy seriously. Your data is encrypted, and we never share personal information with third parties without your consent.
