Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HereInUS ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

The person whose profile is created on HereInUS must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be a US Citizen or Green Card holder of Indian heritage
  • Not be currently married (unless legally separated or divorced)
  • Not have been previously banned from the Service

Profiles Created by Family Members

HereInUS allows parents and siblings to create and manage profiles on behalf of a family member. If you are creating a profile for someone else, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the explicit consent of the person whose profile you are creating
  • The person whose profile is being created meets all the eligibility requirements listed above
  • All information you provide on their behalf is accurate and truthful
  • You are authorized to act on their behalf in all interactions on the platform, including receiving and responding to interest from other members
  • You will inform the profile subject of any interest, messages, or match requests received through the platform

The account creator (parent or sibling) is responsible for all activity on the account and must themselves be at least 18 years of age and able to form a legally binding contract. Both the account creator and the profile subject are bound by these Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile information updated.

When a profile is managed by a family member, the platform will indicate this to other members. All parties should be aware that messages and interactions may be conducted by the family member managing the profile rather than the profile subject directly.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information in your profile
  • Use the Service for any purpose other than genuine matrimonial intent
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Upload inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes or solicitation
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

5. Memberships and Payments

Certain features of HereInUS require a paid membership. By purchasing a membership, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase. Memberships are automatically canceled when both parties in a match confirm their commitment through the "Found My Match" feature.

6. Content and Photos

You retain ownership of content you upload to HereInUS. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service for the purpose of operating the platform. Photos may be moderated for appropriateness and watermarked for protection.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or the Service. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

9. Disclaimers

HereInUS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, nor do we conduct background checks on users. You are responsible for your own safety when interacting with other members. We encourage you to exercise caution and conduct your own due diligence before meeting anyone in person.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HereInUS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
